Mechanical Designer

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting of electric motor components, to include sub- and final-assembly drawings;

  • Assisting incoming inspection with measurement of critical dimensions;

  • Assisting final inspection with First Article Inspection Reports;

  • Responsible for configuration control of all drawings, processes and build sheets, to include associated ECOs/ECNs;

  • Interfacing with both customers and vendors as required;

  • Candidate must be willing to work in a highly collaborative environment and posses a high degree of mechanical drafting aptitude.

  • 5 years minimum design work experience.

  • Working knowledge and experience in SolidWorks, DraftSight, AutoCad.

  • Familiarity with aerospace standards for materials and finishes.

  • Familiarity with designs with high-precision ball bearings.

  • Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 quality requirements.

  • Ability to learn new techniques to deliver work quickly and accurately.

  • Previous experience in electric motor design preferred but not necessary.
